Located on a narrow peninsula, are two main hotels (of which one is the Sofitel Capsis Palace Hotel) and three bungalow compounds, which form "Cretan neighborhoods". The hotel and bungalows are surrounded by an expansive botanical gardens. There are beautiful views of the Aegean, extensive gardens, greenhouses, ancient Greek ruins from Minoan times, lakes, ponds, cascades, waterfalls, a river and three beaches (1 private). Local, organically grown fruit, vegetables, herbs and flowers are used in the hotels' restaurants and bars.
